What
is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic
is a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes
patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractic care
focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous
system, and the effects of these disorders on general health.
Physical, orthopedic and neurological tests can help reveal the
condition of your spine. Chiropractic is based on a simple premise:
with a normal functioning spine and a healthy lifestyle, your
body is better able to heal itself.

How
Does Chiropractic Work?
Your
spine protects your spinal cord; which controls feeling, movement
and function through the nerves of your body. Spinal misalignment
can cause irritation/pressure at the spinal nerve. By treating
these irritations with chiropractic adjustments/spinal manipulations
and other adjunct therapies it helps release the pressure on the
nerves so that they are better able to function. Aside from from
helping those in pain, regular chiropractic treatment is one the
best ways to help prevent spinal problems and maintain a healthy
and pain-free lifestyle.

What
conditions can chiropractic help?
Chiropractic
care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints,
including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the
joints of the arms or legs, and headaches. Patients have had improvement
in conditions such as arthritis, hip, shoulder and knee pain,
sciatic pain and TMJ.

Will
I have to take X-Rays?
Our
clinic does not require x-rays. However, x-rays are often times
necessary to properly diagnose and treat your condition. Your
chiropractor will discuss this option with you if it is necessary.
|
How
much chiropractic care will I need?
The
number of visits you will need depends on your specific condition
and how your body heals. Many people use chiropractic as a part
of a preventative health care routine, scheduling chiropractic
appointments on a regular basis to keep their bodies functioning
at their best. Other people seek chiropractic care for specific
conditions and pain relief.
